how to get customer spend for a certain time frame looking for customers who have spent $5K + Year to date

Use Net Sales CP and set your date picker to the period you want to know the spend for.
Easiest is:
Go to Bookmarks and Click on the Search Bar. Type Start and find the 'Campaign Start' Bookmark under 'ENO Preset Campaigns' that will add all your customers to a list as your starting point.
Now, using the column picker, add Net Sales CP as a column. Make sure your date picker is set to your period, in this case YTD.
In the report, go to the header of the column for Net Sales CP and click on the icon that looks like a funnel. Set the expression to "great than/equal to" and "5000". click Apply. that will give you the list you are looking for.
